Our goal was never simply to make water pass through the filter faster.
We set out to create an entirely new brewing experience, one that allows more of coffee’s natural sweetness, aroma, and clarity to shine through.

A New Material Behind
High-speed Extraction
METEOR features a unique blend combining:
Paper + Abaca (Manila hemp) + PLA (polylactic acid)
Abaca is a flexible, permeable natural fiber from a
banana-like plant. PLA is a biodegradable biomass plastic.
Extraction Principle
With a standard filter, fine particles gradually clog the filter during extraction, slowing the flow of water.
With METEOR, the PLA material helps prevent the filter from clogging, ensuring that hot water flows smoothly right to the very end.
As a result, METEOR achieves approximately 3x faster flow through-speed compared to HARIO's standard V60 paper filter.
Quality at a Premium Price
METEOR is not simply a thinner version of HARIO's standard V60 paper filter.
Combined with Abaca and PLA, METEOR is a strong and flexible paper filter, with excellent liquid permeability.

- Q. Can METEOR be used with a standard V60 dripper?
- A. Yes. METEOR is designed specifically for use with V60 drippers. It can be used with V60 drippers in sizes 01 and 02. No special equipment is needed. Simply place METEOR in your existing V60 dripper and brew as usual.
- Q. Can it be used with the V60 NEO / SWITCH / MUGEN?
- A. Yes. METEOR can be used not only with the V60 SWITCH but also with HARIO's lineup of cone-shaped drippers. You can enjoy brewing that takes full advantage of its high-speed flow-through feature. Experiment with your preferred brewing method according to your recipe and choice of coffee beans.
- Q. What roast level is METEOR best suited for?
- A. METEOR can be used with coffee of any roast level. With light- and medium-roast specialty coffees, METEOR’s high-speed flow-through extraction really shines. METEOR can also be used with dark-roasted coffees, so feel free to experiment with it in your favorite recipes.
- Q. Can beginners use METEOR?
- A. Yes. METEOR can be used in the same way as a standard V60 paper filter. No special skills or equipment are required. If you already use a V60, simply add METEOR to your usual brewing routine.
