Engineered for Speed and Clarity

At the heart of this redesign is the rib structure, i.e. the physical architecture that controls water flow. Inspired by our
SUIREN Dripper, which demonstrated how rib-and-paper contact directly influences flow, we pushed the design further
than ever.

Through dozens of prototypes, we arrived at a geometry where 72 precision ribs line the inner wall of the dripper and converge seamlessly into 9 outlet ribs. This unique structure maximises drainage while distributing water evenly across the coffee bed, reducing the risk of both under- and over-extraction.

Importantly, flow is faster than with a standard V60, yet the final brew retains the same depth and concentration. In other words: it's fast, but not thin.

A New
Interpretation of
V60's DNA

The original V60, launched in 2005, was designed to be a "fast-flow" dripper, a sharp contrast to the prevailing immersion-style brewers of its time.
Back then, its clean, quick-draining profile was sometimes misunderstood as "too light." But as specialty coffee evolved, the value of controlled flow and clean extraction gained recognition, and the V60 became a global icon.

This new dripper reinterprets that founding principle for today's coffee landscape, where complex flavour profiles, experimental processing, and delicate roast levels demand ever more control and consistency.

Temperature and Tactility:

As they lock eyes, what world they know is flipped completely towards the southern sky, and the pool ushers them swiftly over the edge of the horizon's curve.

Refined Details
for Better Repeatability:

We paid particular attention to how the paper filter adheres to the ribs. Even subtle differences in angle can affect the drawdown speed and overall consistency. Therefore, we fine-tuned the design down to tenths of a degree. For example, the Size 01 has a 0.4° wider angle than the 02, optimising contact and performance for each format.

The colour finish was also carefully selected. The dripper boasts not a flat black, but a deep hue laced with green undertones to evoke calm sophistication.

The Journey:
2 Years,
60 Prototypes:

From concept to completion, this dripper took approximately two years to develop. Even after arriving at the core structure, we tested over 50–60 prototype models to refine the details and performance.

The design brief was deceptively simple: make it fast and clean. But that clarity of purpose led us to challenge old assumptions and reimagine what the V60 could be for the next generation.

In an industry where fast-flow drippers have become increasingly common, this is HARIO's answer: a dripper built for clarity, speed, and consistency, ready to serve both the stage and the daily brew bar.
